Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers

When you are dealing with a complex environment where multiple types of fire hazards exist, Dry Powder (ABC) extinguishers are the ultimate all-rounder. They work by discharging a fine chemical powder that instantly interrupts the chemical chain reaction of a fire.

  • True Multi-Purpose: Rated for Class A (solid combustibles like wood/paper), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (flammable gases).

  • Safe on Electrical Fires: The powder is non-conductive, making it safe to use around live electrical equipment.

  • Rapid Knockdown: Extremely fast acting, knocking down high-heat flames almost instantly.

  • High Extinguishing Rating: Provides massive fire-killing power relative to the size and weight of the cylinder.

Note: While highly effective, dry powder leaves a residue and can impair visibility in confined spaces. For sensitive electronics, we recommend pairing these with our CO2 extinguishers.

  • Construction Sites & Open Yards

  • Warehouses & Manufacturing Plants

  • Boiler Rooms & Mechanical Workshops

  • Commercial Vehicles, Fleet Garages & Carparks

We exclusively supply premium, European-manufactured Dry Powder extinguishers. Dry powder is incredibly sensitive to moisture, and sourcing cheap, uncertified alternatives introduces severe risks—especially in Hong Kong’s highly humid climate:

Powder Caking & "Bricking": Cheap, low-grade powders absorb Hong Kong's extreme humidity. The powder clumps together and hardens into a solid brick at the bottom of the cylinder. When you squeeze the handle, nothing comes out.

Ineffective Chemical Makeup: Low-quality models cut costs by reducing the percentage of the active fire-killing ingredient (Monoammonium Phosphate), severely reducing the extinguisher's ability to actually stop a fire.

Silent Pressure Leaks: Substandard rubber seals and cheap plastic valves degrade rapidly in our summer heat. This leaks the nitrogen propellant, leaving the extinguisher completely dead during an emergency.

Accelerated External & Internal Rust: Cheap steel cylinders without proper anti-corrosive treatments are quickly eaten away by coastal, humid air, failing their mandatory FSD hydro-tests and posing a rupture risk.
