Fire Extinguishers Maintenance & Inspection

Bedford & Co have authorized and registered personnel that holds Class 3 Fire Service Installation Contractor license.

Under Hong Kong law, commercial and industrial fire safety equipment is not a "set and forget" investment.

The 12-Month Rule: All portable fire extinguishers must be inspected at least once every 12 months by a Registered Fire Service Installation Contractor (RFSIC).

The FS251 Certificate: Upon a successful inspection, your equipment will be issued an FS251 certificate. This document is strictly required by the Hong Kong Fire Services Department (HKFSD) and your commercial insurance providers to prove your facility is compliant and legally protected.

Hydrostatic Testing (5-Year Rule): Every five years, extinguishers must undergo a comprehensive discharge and hydrostatic pressure test to ensure the structural integrity of the cylinder remains safe for use.
